Key Features - MP972
REPLACEABLE BOLT-IN LINER
Save time by easily replacing the AR400 steel wear plates on the ms960 without needing to remove the rotor.
WIRE PROTECTION KIT
If you are mulching and you catch some old fence wire, it can really cause damage to the unit if the wire slips over the edge of the rotor and gets wrapped around the shaft. The wire can get bunched against the bearings, causing major damage. Our wire protection kit contains a welded raised area on the end of the rotor that protects the shaft and prevents wire from getting in.
CHAIN CURTAIN
The rear of the unit is guarded by a 3/8" thick chain curtain so standing brush enters and mulched debris exits.
EASY ACCESS GREASE FITTINGS
Reduce your regular maintenance time by easily greasing the bearings on the MP972 from outside the frame. No tools required.
SLIP CLUTCH
To protect the gearbox and drive system, Baumalight PTO mulchers come with a slip clutch. Automatically disengaging the clutch at a predetermined torque.
HEAVY DUTY GEARBOX
Heavy duty gearbox for high performance and better mulching power and long life.
REINFORCED BELT
A heavy duty reinforced belt delivers the force from the gear box to the rotor. This offers protection from the shocks inherent in mulching.
GREASEABLE PINS
Baumalight mulchers feature grease pins on all pivot points, reducing the risk of equipment damage and providing long life and easy servicing.
HARDENED STEEL BUSHING
Spring Bushing made from high grade chrome-vanadium AISI 6150 spring steel on all main pivot points.
ADJUSTABLE BELT TENSIONER
The adjustable belt tensioner ensures the proper tension of your belts, with no extra idler wheel that could wear out. Simply loosen the bolts and raise the motor mount to tighten the belt.
Directional felling hook
Built into the pusher bar, the directional felling hook will directionally control wayward trees, sprawling clumps and low hanging limbs.
Double shielded hoses
All hoses are sleeved for operator and hose protection. The Connecting hoses are sleeved and wrapped in hose armour for double protection.

Now completely redesigned for the 900 series Brush Mulcher, the heavy duty steel frame is constructed with T1 alloy tool steel sheet metal.
BACK HYDRAULIC DOORS
The MP972 is the only Baumalight mulcher with an adjustable back door, this can be raised for forward driving with ground engagement and lowered for backward driving into the brush.
FRONT HYDRAULIC DOOR
Equipped with front and rear hydraulically controlled debris doors. They are controlled from the cab to give the operator more control of the mulching action. When front door is closed, the mulch debris is more controlled and a finer mulch is produced. Open the rear door to better attack stubborn brush by exposing more of the rotor.

1. Attachment Mounting Type
Your machine’s mounting plate must match the attachment’s plate for a proper fit. While most manufacturers now follow a "universal" standard, making many attachments interchangeable, there are still exceptions—so always double-check compatibility.
2. Hydraulic Connections and Flow Rate
If the attachment requires hydraulics, ensure that both the machine and attachment have compatible hydraulic couplers. Additionally, the machine’s auxiliary hydraulic flow rate must fall within the attachment’s required range. If the attachment doesn’t use hydraulics, you can skip this step.
3. Machine Lift Capacity
Your machine’s rated operating capacity (ROC) must be able to handle the attachment’s weight. For attachments like buckets and concrete mixers, don’t forget to factor in the weight of the material they’ll be carrying to avoid exceeding your machine’s limits.
