REPLACEABLE BOLT-IN LINER

Save time by easily replacing the AR400 steel wear plates on the MX1160R without needing to remove the rotor.

ADJUSTABLE BELT TENSIONER

The adjustable belt tensioner ensures the proper tension of your belts, with no extra idler wheel that could wear out. Simply loosen the bolts and raise the motor mount to tighten the belt.

Belt tension adjustment can be made by fine-tuning the two puller bolts that move a sliding plate on which the motor is mounted.

OPTIONAL TWO-SPEED MOTOR

To maximize the rotor speed and torque to account for changing mulching material, the MX1160R is available with a variable two-speed motor option.

BENT AXIS PISTON MOTORS ARE A STANDARD OPTION

Our industry leading bent axis piston motors make the most use of your hydraulic flow and pressure for your brush clearing needs.

WIRE PROTECTION KIT

If you are mulching and you catch some old fence wire, it can really cause damage to the unit if the wire slips over the edge of the rotor and gets wrapped around the shaft. The wire can get bunched against the bearings, causing major damage. Our wire protection kit contains a welded raised area on the end of the rotor that protects the shaft and prevents wire from getting in.

CHAIN CURTAIN

The rear of the unit is guarded by a 3/8” thick chain curtain so standing brush enters and mulched debris exits.

OPTIONAL 900 SERIES RIPPER TEETH

The 11000 Series teeth can be changed out; Planer and Ripper. The Planer style teeth take small bites and provide the most efficient mulching and cutting. The Ripper style teeth have more of a shredding mulching action. Their double tipped V-shaped design makes them less susceptible to impacts with hard objects like stones, making them the better choice when mulching below grade and in fence lines. Both styles are Bolt-on replaceable for quick and easy servicing and replacement even in the field.
All units are shipped with Standard P11000 Series Planer Teeth only because they are mounted for the rotor balancing process. Ripper teeth can be installed by the end user once the planer teeth need replacing. 1100 Series units can not be operated with a mix of Planer and Ripper teeth; the entire set must be changed out and operators do need to be prepared that there might be a slight increase in vibration after switching styles of teeth.

BITE LIMITING ROTOR FOR 11000 SERIES

The Depth Control system on the Baumalight 1100 series mulchers will improve the efficiency of your land-clearing operations. The 1100 series mulcher rotors are engineered to regulate the depth of bite and guide the flow of material while preserving energy for optimal output with less stalling because you can achieve consistent particle size for faster cutting, and better fuel efficiency.
The helical teeth arrangement of our mulcher effectively feeds material toward the center of the drum, while depth control rings guarantee the best possible infeed.

EASY ACCESS GREASE FITTINGS

Reduce your regular maintenance time by easily greasing the bearings on the MX1160R from outside the frame. No tools required.

Periodic regreasing of the rotor bearing is made easier with Outside grease fitting for rotor bearings.

OVERTORQUE PROTECTION - RELIEF VALVE

The relief valve protects the motor and the hydraulic system from pressure spikes. When an obstacle is hit the relief valves open and relieves the pressure.

CASE DRAIN – VENT TO ATMOSPHERE

To prevent pressure relief activation on the motor seal, the MX1160R comes with a case drain line and a vent to atmosphere relief valve. In the event there is a spike in pressure in your hydraulic lines, the case drain will relieve the pressure and drain it back into the return line and back to the tank. If the connection of the case drain (third line) is missed or if the line is blocked, then the case drain will vent to notify you. A properly installed case drain protected by a vent to atmosphere relief valve will save the work of replacing your shaft seal and save you from down time of unexpected maintenance. REINFORCED BELT

A heavy duty reinforced belt delivers the force from the gear box to the rotor. This offers protection from the shocks inherent in mulching.
